ProClime is pleased to announce its association with the Carbon Removal India Alliance (CRIA) to help accelerate India’s transition to net zero through scalable carbon removal solutions.
As a full-stack climate company operating across Carbon Projects, Carbon Trade, Climate Investments, and Advisory Services, ProClime integrates climate investment, project development, institutional cooperation, and market mechanisms to achieve climate-positive outcomes.
This is reflected in ProClime’s work on India’s first state-backed industrial biochar project in partnership with the Government of Himachal Pradesh. By aligning climate mitigation with land restoration and rural economic opportunity, this model reflects a broader shift toward carbon removal pathways that deliver both environmental benefits and local development.
“Carbon removal represents one of the most important climate opportunities for India. Joining CRIA allows us to support market making and to advance solutions grounded in scientific integrity along long-term climate impact,” said Kavin Kumar Kandasamy, Founder & CEO, ProClime.
“CRIA is delighted to welcome ProClime as our newest member. The platform is getting stronger; and is playing a significant role, since both the CDR sector and the associated policy and ecosystem architecture are in its nascency. The sector’s potential, the co-benefits and their impact are huge.” said Asitava Sen, Co-Founder and CEO, CRIA.
Through this engagement with CRIA, ProClime, along with other CRIA members, will contribute to operational research, policy dialogue, standards development, and ecosystem collaboration to build a thriving durable carbon removal sector in India.
